"Download PDF" opens your browser's print window: choose Save as PDF as the printer. The PDF has real text, so applicant systems (ATS) can read it.

What makes a resume work

  • One page for under 10 years of experience, two at most after that. Use "Compact" if you are just over.
  • Results, not duties. "Managed a fleet" says what you were asked to do. "Cut fleet downtime 30% by scheduling preventive maintenance" says what you achieved. Start each line with a verb and add a number where you can.
  • Match the job ad. Put the skills and words from the advertisement in your summary and skills list; applicant tracking systems look for them.
  • Recent first. List jobs from newest to oldest, and keep old or unrelated jobs to one line.
  • Plain formatting. No photos, tables or columns of icons in the US and UK; a photo is normal in the Gulf, Europe and Asia, but it is not required.

Resume or CV?

In the US and Canada a resume is a short, tailored document; a CV is the long academic version. In the UK, Europe, the Gulf and South Asia "CV" means the same short document. Either way, this builder makes the one-to-two-page version employers expect.

Does it pass applicant tracking systems (ATS)?

Yes, as long as you save it the way described: the PDF your browser makes contains real text in a single column (Classic template) with standard headings like Experience, Education and Skills. If a form asks you to paste the resume, use "Copy as plain text".

Your data stays with you

The resume is built in your browser. The draft is kept in your browser's storage so you can come back, and you can also save it as a small file and load it again on another computer. Nothing is uploaded.

FAQ

Is this resume builder really free?
Yes. There is no account, no paid download, no watermark and no limit.
How do I download the resume as a PDF?
Press "Download PDF / Print". In the print window choose "Save as PDF" as the destination (Chrome, Edge and Safari all have it).
Can I come back later?
Yes. The draft is saved in this browser automatically. To move it to another device, use "Save draft file" and "Load draft file".
Does it work in Arabic or Urdu?
Yes. Type in any language; the browser PDF keeps the text and direction. For a right-to-left resume use the Classic template.
