Excel to PDF Converter
Turn a spreadsheet into a clean PDF where every column fits on the page, the header row repeats on each page and numbers keep their format. The workbook is read on your device and never uploaded, so payroll and price lists stay private.

Why Excel prints badly, and what this tool does instead
Printing a sheet straight from Excel often gives the classic problems: the last columns spill onto separate pages, the header row appears only on page 1, and gridlines disappear because Excel does not print them by default. This converter lays the sheet out for paper first: it scales the table so every column fits across the page, switches to landscape when the sheet is wide, repeats the header row at the top of every page and draws light gridlines. You see the result in the preview before you save.
How to convert Excel to PDF
- Choose the .xlsx or .csv file. Every visible sheet is listed; untick the ones you do not need.
- Check the paper size and scaling. "Fit all columns on one page wide" is right for most reports; "Actual size" keeps the font size but may cut wide sheets.
- Look through the preview, press "Save as PDF" and choose Save as PDF in the print window. On a phone, use the share or print menu's "Save as PDF".
What is kept from the workbook
- Kept: column widths and row heights, merged cells, bold/italic/size and font colour, cell fill colours, borders, text alignment and wrapping, and number formats such as
#,##0.00, percentages, currencies like SAR or $, and dates. - Formulas are shown with the value Excel calculated the last time the file was saved. A file produced by a program that does not store calculated values will show those cells empty: open and save it once in Excel or LibreOffice.
- Not drawn: charts, pictures, shapes, comments and conditional formatting colours. Hidden rows, hidden columns and hidden sheets are left out, as Excel does.
- Print area and "rows to repeat at top" set in Excel's Page Layout are respected. Without them, the first row of headings is repeated automatically.
Payroll sheets, price lists and long reports
For a payroll register or salary sheet with many columns, keep "Automatic" orientation and "Fit all columns": the sheet goes landscape and shrinks just enough to fit. If the text becomes too small to read, choose A3 paper or hide the columns you do not need in Excel before converting. For a long list, the repeated header row means every page can be read on its own. Need the totals checked first? The salary calculator and the GOSI calculator help with the numbers.
Old .xls files and CSV
The old Excel 97-2003 format (.xls) and OpenDocument (.ods) cannot be read in the browser; save them as .xlsx first. CSV files work directly: the delimiter (comma, semicolon or tab) is detected, the first row is treated as headings and numbers are right-aligned.
Privacy
The workbook is read by ExcelJS, an open-source library, inside your browser, and the PDF is written by the browser itself. Nothing is uploaded. We count only that a spreadsheet was converted, its file type and its rough size, never the file name or any cell content.
